Retired pay under all four systems — Final Pay, High-36, REDUX and the Blended Retirement System.
Active-duty retirement normally requires 20 years. Reserve and Guard service is counted in points instead — use the Reserve retirement calculator.
Not sure? Your entry date decides it. Anyone who joined on or after 1 January 2018 is in BRS with no choice in the matter.
Used for the REDUX age-62 recomputation and for the length of the projections.
3.6% is the 2027 adjustment. It applies to retired pay every December.
TSP (BRS only)
5% is the figure that captures the full government match. Below it you are leaving money behind.

All four systems, your numbers
Same grade, same years of service, priced under each system. Only one of these is available to you — your entry date decides — but the spread is what makes the REDUX and BRS trade-offs concrete.

The four systems in one line each
Final Pay — 2.5% per year of your final basic pay. Pre-1980 entrants only.
High-36 — 2.5% per year of your highest 36 months of basic pay. The most common system today.
REDUX — you took $30,000 at 15 years and accepted a smaller multiplier and a reduced COLA in exchange.
BRS — 2.0% per year, a smaller pension, plus TSP contributions the government matches.
Estimates only. The High-36 base is approximated by averaging basic pay across your final three longevity steps at 2026 rates; DFAS uses your actual highest 36 months of pay, including the annual raises in those years, so a real figure will differ. Projections assume a constant COLA and ignore taxes, SBP premiums, VA waiver and CRDP/CRSC interactions. DFAS makes the final determination.
